Nomcraft Brewing introduced its new pale ale, "Nomcraft Pale Ale," to its core lineup on Instagram. The brewery is based in Aridagawa Town, Arida District, Wakayama Prefecture, and operates out of a renovated former nursery school, working on town-building through craft beer. Led by an international team centered on newcomers to the area, it produces a wide range of beers from hop-forward American styles to classic styles.

The new release is a pale ale the brewery had wanted to make for some time, joining its core lager and IPA lineup. The design aims for the exact middle ground between a modern IPA and a classic pale ale. It aims for a balance that keeps the malt character from becoming too heavy without turning watery, and uses restrained dry hopping to bring out an orange-like aroma.

The specifications are as follows.

- Style: American Pale Ale
- ALC.: 5.0%
- IBU: 35
- CO2: 2.6 volumes
- Malt: IPA malt, Vienna, Cara Munich
- Hops: Idaho 7, Cascade, Chinook, Nectaron
- Yeast: West Coast Ale
- Tasting note: Orange citrus, crisp, light malt
- Food pairing: Fried chicken, sansho pepper nuts, pulled pork

Rather than emphasizing a harder-edged impression, Nomcraft has shaped it into an easy-to-drink pale ale for everyday use. It looks like a bottle that will appeal both to IPA fans and to those who prefer classic American pale ales.
