Yellow Monkey Brewing to Release New Beer “UTSUROI” on April 4
Yokohama, Kanagawa-based Yellow Monkey Brewing will release its new beer, “UTSUROI,” on Saturday, April 4. This time, they are also offering a special food pairing, “Three kinds of obanzai,” matched to the beer, and the taproom has announced a change to the day’s business hours along with 10% off all food items.
Yellow Monkey Brewing will release its new beer, UTSUROI, on Saturday, April 4. On Instagram, the brewery described it as “a pint that will serve as a forerunner of the ‘Japanese style’ they will continue to pursue,” introducing it as a beer that points toward their future direction.
Along with it, a special food pairing called “Three kinds of obanzai” will also be served for UTSUROI. The setup is designed so guests can take their time enjoying the combination of beer and Japanese cuisine, making it a proposal that feels right at home in a brewery taproom.
On the day, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will be reserved for private use, so the usual morning service will be suspended. A bread class for children is planned during the private reservation, and regular business will begin at 12:00 p.m. In addition, all food items will be 10% off, making it a day that should be easy to stop by for a meal as well.
Yellow Monkey Brewing is based in Yokohama City, and on its official website it states its mission as “connecting people through beer and sports, and spreading smiles.” Its aim to be a “living brewery” open to the city is reflected in this new release as well.
The post also noted that the label design was handled by @_zoedazoe, and the photography by @soooonakamura. While the post did not go into much detail about the flavor profile, it is a release worth watching as a beer that signals the style the brand is aiming to move toward next.
