Libushi Bashamichi is one of AJB Co.'s brewpub-style bases in the Bashamichi area of Yokohama. Known for going beyond beer into spirits and food, the brewery has continued to build a broad creative platform around drink-making, and this release fits that approach.

The new beer is a collaboration with Sakamichi Brewing. According to the post, the two breweries matched the recipe everywhere except for the hops, and each used Nelson Sauvin from different fields. Even when the variety is the same, terroir can shift the aroma and flavor profile, and that contrast is the core idea behind this project.

Libushi Bashamichi describes its version as having white-grape-like aromatics, a tropical layer, and a clean finish with lager-like malt character. Rather than chasing intensity, the beer seems designed to show balance and nuance. Tasting it side by side with Sakamichi Brewing's take should make the differences in hop expression and brewing philosophy easier to understand.
