Release Details
VERTERE, the brewery based in Okutama, Tokyo, has announced three new beers at once. The centerpiece is `Macranthos`, a collaboration with SOLSO FARM, the farm market operated by DAISHIZEN in Kawasaki. The release is scheduled for July 17 at 12:00, and the beer will also be offered as part of a SOLSO FARM collab pack.
`Macranthos` is an American Pale Ale with 5.5% ABV and 30 IBU. According to the brewery’s description, it layers aromas reminiscent of citrus, flowers, herbs, and freshly cut grass over a light malt character and gentle bitterness. The result is positioned as a fresh, plant-like pale ale with a bright aromatic profile.
Two other beers arrive alongside it: `Solandra`, an American IPA at 6.5% ABV and 20 IBU, and `Melilotus`, a Belgian Pale Ale at 5.5% ABV and 12 IBU. The SOLSO FARM Collab Pack contains two bottles of Macranthos, one Solandra, and one Melilotus, with each beer expressing a different facet of the same botanical theme.
For VERTERE, which has long been associated with the Beer Cafe Batele name in Okutama, this release fits neatly with the brewery’s nature-forward identity. The lineup is straightforward, but the flavor direction is clear: aromatic, approachable, and built around the connection between beer and the plant world.
