What kind of brewery is Brewpub Center Point?

Hop BroThe owner and brewer, Hirotoshi Matsuo, originally worked as a chef in Tokyo restaurants and coffee chains, but after falling in love with Texas BBQ at a Brooklyn restaurant in New York in 2006, he went all the way there to learn the cooking methods.
MugiFrom a coffee chain to beer brewing!? That's a huge leap... Where did he learn to brew beer?
Hop BroHe trained for two years at Kotobukishuzo in Takatsuki, Osaka, better known as Kuni no Cho Beer. In fact, he opened his first shop, Tetar Valet, in Temmabashi in 2016, and Center Point is the second location, which opened in 2018.
MugiOh, so he runs two locations. What kinds of beer can you drink there?
Hop BroTheir standard lineup includes four types: white, black, amber, and IPA, and the recipe changes with each batch. Their signature beer, "Sake, Meat, and Women Pale Ale," is an American pale ale with bright citrusy aromas, and it's fantastic with BBQ brisket.

Hop BroAnother interesting project is called "THANKS HOP." They grow hops on rooftops of buildings in Osaka and at participants' homes, then bring them in to brew beer. The mango beer "OHANA" was created through a collaboration with a hula dance school.

Hop BroMatsuo also wants to do something about the thinness of community ties in urban areas. Beer has become a device that connects people. Oh, and there are swing seats inside, so it has a playful, fun atmosphere too.
