Logram Brewing is a nanobrewery in Fukazawa, Setagaya, and the two founders are interesting too. Yohei Iwaki and Keigo Anan both run design firms.

Two design-company presidents brewing beer together!? How does that happen?
Hop Bro
They met through a connection, hit it off, and started brewing in January 2025. They introduced Japan's first Spike Brewing (an American brewing equipment manufacturer) brewhouse, and even their equipment choices show a designer's attention to detail.

Oh, I've never heard of Spike Brewing. What is the place like?

Their directly operated bar, 'CE Lab,' has a stylish glass-front exterior and 8 taps. They also serve neo-Mexican tacos, so the beer-bar vibe feels a bit distinctive. It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Fukazawa.

Tacos and craft beer! That alone makes me want to go. What kinds of beers do they have?
Hop Bro
This is where they really push it. 'Apollon' is a hazy IPA layered with apple juice and brewed with three kinds of hops. 'Five' is a citrus IPA with blood orange and spices. 'Trois' is a sparkling fruit ale that evokes white wine.

What is that! It's all beer that doesn't feel like beer! Is this what happens when designers make beer?
Hop Bro
They also have fruit-forward beers like 'Elderflower' and 'Blueberry,' and even a name like 'High Income' that really stands out. Maybe because they come from design, the labels and concepts all have a consistent world-building feel.

Who would have thought a brewery like this was hidden in a Setagaya residential area. Open Wed and Fri from 18:00, and weekends from 16:00. I'd love to go explore it!
