Better life with upcycle Releases Fresh Hop Session IPA with Hops from Saitama
Better life with upcycle released Fresh Hop Session IPA on October 22. Brewed with fresh hops from Miyoshi, Saitama, the 4.5% session IPA combines grassy hop aromas with tropical fruit and pine notes from Idaho 7, finishing clean and refreshing without pronounced bitterness.
A second batch built around fresh-hop character
Better life with upcycle’s Fresh Hop Session IPA is the second batch of its beer made with fresh hops grown in Miyoshi, Saitama. The beer is classified as a Fresh Hop Session IPA, with an ABV of 4.5%, SRM 3, and IBU 33. It is sold in a 350 ml can for ¥572 including tax.
The aroma opens with the green, grassy character associated with freshly harvested hops. Idaho 7 adds layers of tropical fruit and pine, giving the beer a bright yet gently resinous profile.
Bitterness is restrained rather than dominant. The finish is clean, with a citrus-peel-like impression that keeps the beer easy to drink. Its moderate strength and session-oriented profile make it suitable for pairing with food or enjoying as an everyday pint-sized refreshment.
An upcycling-minded brewery rooted in baking
Based in Ebina, Kanagawa, Better life with upcycle grew from a bakery founded in 1923. The brand gives overlooked ingredients new value, including bread ends repurposed in beer and craft gin. After collaborating with brewers across Japan, it now also produces beer at its own brewing facility.
Its sustainability work extends beyond product concepts. The company practices zero disposal of food residues generated during brewing and has shifted electricity used at its production process and brewing facilities to renewable energy. Through both flavor and production, Better life with upcycle presents a more sustainable way to enjoy a toast.
Because the beer contains yeast, some haze may develop; this does not indicate a quality issue. Keep the can refrigerated and avoid impact, freezing, or leaving it at room temperature for extended periods.
