Oirase Brewery Introduces a Towada Barayaki Plate Menu
Oirase Brewery introduced the local specialty "Towada Barayaki" of Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, as a plate menu on Instagram. At its directly operated restaurant, guests can enjoy beer brewed with Oirase's spring water and stone-oven dishes made with local ingredients.
A Towada classic on one plate
Oirase Brewery featured Towada Barayaki, a local specialty from Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, as a plate menu. Towada Barayaki is a signature Towada dish made by stir-frying beef belly and plenty of onions in a sweet-savory soy sauce-based sauce.
The brewery has operated since 1997 on the grounds of the roadside station "Oirase Roman Park" in Ose, Towada City. It brews using "Oirase no Genryusui," groundwater from the Hakkoda mountains, and offers core beers such as pilsner, dark lager, amber lager, and weizen.
At its directly operated "OIRASE BEER Brewery & Restaurant," the appeal is that you can enjoy freshly brewed beer alongside dishes centered on pizza and meat dishes baked in a handmade stone oven. Towada Barayaki is positioned as one of the menu items that make use of local ingredients.
Rather than simply reproducing a local specialty, Oirase Brewery builds it into a dining experience that feels distinctly its own. Being able to enjoy the flavors of the region and craft beer in the same place is what makes this dish so appealing.
