WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE has announced two new taps at its Makuhari beer stand in Chiba: West Coast Brewing’s Vandal and Isekadoya Beer’s Neko ni Hiki.
Vandal is a 5.0% hazy pale ale with a pronounced tropical-fruit aroma, along with notes reminiscent of peach-like stone fruit and muscat grapes. Despite its moderate alcohol level, it offers substantial body, a silky and smooth texture, and a pleasant green hop character.
The second beer is Isekadoya Beer’s popular Neko ni Hiki, an 8.0% New England-style IPA with an IBU of 35. Its hazy golden appearance leads into aromas of citrus and tropical fruit from four hop varieties. Juicy sweetness and a soft mouthfeel give the beer a hop-juice character, while the finish remains smooth rather than heavy.
The tap list also includes beers such as West Coast Brewing’s Mosaic Mainline, Sierra Nevada’s Hoptimum, and Faction’s Terpsman IPA, offering plenty of variety for tasting flights or a longer session. Guests can pair the beers with food at the Makuhari venue, which also offers craft beer takeaway.
The venue is also scheduled to host its “Vietnam DAY” series in September, featuring banh mi and rotating ethnic-inspired snacks. It offers another way to enjoy the newly tapped beers alongside food in a casual craft beer setting.
