Choryo Sake Brewery's Koryo Brewery in Nara Prefecture has released information about its participation in the cross-category liquor event "KANPAI FEST in Senshu & Kawachi." According to the post, the venue will be Mina Sakai, in front of Sakai City Hall (within walking distance of Sakaihigashi Station on the Nankai Koya Line), and the event will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00. Advance tickets are priced at 2,500 yen, and same-day tickets at 3,000 yen.

What makes this event special is that it gathers not only sake makers, but also craft beer and Japanese wine producers all in one place. Food trucks will also be on site, creating a format where visitors can enjoy food-and-drink pairings as they move around the venue. A digital stamp rally is also planned, in which collecting stamps by visiting exhibitor booths gives attendees a chance to win each maker's "featured product." Hula dance and live performances are also scheduled on the stage, making it an event that a wide range of visitors can enjoy from the daytime hours onward.

Choryo Sake Brewery is headquartered in Koryo, Nara, and operates Koryo Brewery, while also working on beer brewing in addition to sake. Its official information also highlights both sake and beer, and the adjacent "CHORYO BREW PARK" offers a taproom and shop. This booth appearance seems to offer a chance to experience the company’s brewing background in a regional cross-over event.

Opportunities for sake breweries, breweries, and wineries to come together at the same venue are still not that common, even in Kansai. For beer fans who want to compare different drinks, it also looks like a day where they can naturally branch out into sake and Japanese wine, with which they may not usually have much contact.
