Saitama-based Teenage Brewing has announced Sonar Aid, a collaboration beer supporting AMAKUSA SONAR BEER in Kumamoto. The Juicy IPA comes in at 7.0% ABV, with 150 yen donated per 350 ml can. Sales begin on August 15.
Background
Teenage Brewing, based in Tokigawa, Saitama, focuses on IPA, sour ale, and sour IPA, and has now announced a support beer made with AMAKUSA SONAR BEER in Kumamoto.
Sonar Aid was brewed to back a brewery Teenage says it has long been close to, while also contributing to relief efforts following the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake.
Beer
The beer is a Juicy IPA at 7.0% ABV. Teenage describes hop-driven aromas of grapefruit, lemon, lime, and mango, aiming for a bright citrus-forward profile.
Sales and support
Teenage will donate 150 yen per 350 ml can to AMAKUSA SONAR BEER. Wholesale sales open on August 15, 2026 at 2:30 p.m., followed by general sales on the official web shop at 7:00 p.m. Shipping begins on August 17.
Supporting events are also planned at Ofuro Cafe Utatane on August 15, BEERPUB KICK on August 16, and Craft Beer Market Jimbocho on August 29.
