CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Osaka’s Kyobashi area has released its draft lineup for October 1. The 16-tap beer pub, also known for house-smoked food, offers a broad selection ranging from crisp lagers to rich dark beers.

The newly tapped beer is Shimanami Super Sour Plane from Shimanami Brewery. Unlike a conventional sour made with distilled spirits and carbonated water, this sparkling sour-style drink is brewed using craft-beer techniques. Fermentation aromas and natural sweetness give it a character reminiscent of sparkling sake, while the sweetness fades cleanly and the drink slips easily across the palate. Its ABV is 5.0%. It can be enjoyed on its own or customized with freshly squeezed lemon or grapefruit.

The recommended beers include Barebottle’s Secret Truth of the Universe. Its layered hop aroma is refined with clear Shinshu water, while a substantial body and malt depth remain, making it a fitting beer for a slow autumn evening. Revision’s Critical Saturation is a hazy double IPA brewed with Dolecita and Mosaic hops. Stone-fruit flavors meet a subtle coconut note, supported by a creamy body and rounded finish. The beer is described as an ultra-limited release available only at the brewery’s taproom.

The regular draft list also features Ise Kadoya Beer’s West Coast Pilsner and Kirin Beer’s Heartland. Shiga Kogen Beer contributes Fresh Hop Blonde Real Ale ver and Porter Real Ale ver, while Onidensetsu Beer offers Kinoni Pale Ale Galaxy ver.

Other options include Ise Kadoya Beer’s Sansho Lager, Teenage’s Next Up, Minamishinshu Beer’s Moonlight IPA, and Daisen G Beer’s Imperial Stout 2023. With house-smoked dishes available, guests can choose a pour to match their meal and mood. Draft availability may change, so check with the pub when visiting.
