A Chance to Taste an Onboard-Only Beer in Kawagoe
COEDO Brewery will serve on tap the onboard-exclusive beer "GOEN CAFÉ SPACIA X × COEDO 'Cedar X PA,'" which has been sold since March 2025 at the cafe counter "GOEN CAFÉ SPACIA X" in Car No. 1 of Tobu Railway's new express train Spacia X, for a limited time from May 29 to June 5 at its directly operated taproom, COEDO BREWERY THE RESTAURANT in Kawagoe.
Cedar X PA is a pale ale inspired by the Nikko Cedar Avenue seen from the windows of Spacia X. Made with Nikko-grown cedar, it layers a woody aroma reminiscent of barrel-aged sake with herbal, earthy hop aromas. At 4.5% ABV, it is crafted for a light, refreshing character that balances clarity and depth.
Limited-Time Offerings
- Draft "Cedar X PA": 900 yen
- Customers who order will receive a non-sale Spacia X original sticker
- A raffle will be held with chances to win onboard-only sweets and original goods
- Limited pairing food will be available
The pairing dishes are two creations devised by COEDO Brewery's chef to match the beer's character. They are "Early Summer Medicinal Shark Fin Soup" (880 yen), which layers earthy and woody notes from herbal ingredients, and "Pork Belly Shabu-Shabu with Shiso and Green Japanese Pepper Sauce" (1,500 yen), which brings out an early-summer feel with the aromas of shiso and green sansho pepper. Stickers will also be distributed to food customers.
