Hathor Taps Asahi Super Dry and Minoh Beer’s Shimizu Hakuto Peach Weizen
Craft Beer Spot Hathor in Osaka is pouring Asahi Beer’s Super Dry and Minoh Beer’s Momo Weizen Shimizu Hakuto ver. The lineup pairs a crisp, dry lager with a softly fruity wheat beer made with Japanese white peach.
Craft Beer Spot Hathor, a beer pub in Osaka’s Kyobashi area, has added two beers to its draft lineup for November 8: Super Dry from Asahi Beer and Minoh Beer’s Momo Weizen Shimizu Hakuto ver. The pub is known for its broad domestic and international beer selection, 16 taps, and house-smoked food.
Super Dry / Asahi Beer
Asahi’s classic lager retains its dry profile while bringing a subtle balance of fermentation-derived beer aroma and hop character. A firm sense of refreshment arrives immediately, followed by a clean, crisp finish. Its straightforward drinkability makes it a natural match for food and an easy choice for a session at the pub.
Momo Weizen Shimizu Hakuto ver / Minoh Beer
This fruit-forward wheat beer uses Arakawa peaches from Hachiki Farm in Wakayama. The peaches are processed by hand into purée on the day they are harvested, then used generously in the beer. Clove- and banana-like notes from the Weizen yeast overlap with the juicy aroma of Shimizu Hakuto white peaches.
With wheat malt making up 50% of the grist, the beer has a soft, gentle mouthfeel. Its delicate peach aroma carries through the finish, offering an elegant expression of white peach. Together, the two taps give drinkers a choice between crisp refreshment and layered fruit aroma. Availability may vary, so check with the pub before visiting.
