Background on Garyu Brewing
Garyu Brewing is a brewery based in Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture. According to its official information, it operates out of a brewery that makes use of a red-brick warehouse dating back to the Taisho era, formerly the Hoden Silk Cocoon Warehouse site, and continues to produce craft beer that makes use of local ingredients. It has also been working on beers using Ozu-grown kiwi and chestnuts. Events like this one with an outside venue are noteworthy as opportunities where drinkers can experience the local context along with the brewers themselves.
