WHITE DOG BREWING Uraga Brewery announced the release of two new bottled beers in an Instagram post on March 12. The release date is March 13. The post also included the day’s business hours: 14:00-22:00 (L.O. 21:00).

Two Releases at Once

- Fall in Love Naturally (Golden Ale w/Niagara)
- Mexico Salamander (Citrus Mix Milk Shake Sour)

Both are limited-batch brews, and customers are being encouraged to buy early.

Fall in Love Naturally: A Golden Ale with Wine-Like Nuance

"Fall in Love Naturally" has an ABV of 6.0% (no IBU listed). It is made with Niagara grape skins from Maru Megane, a winery in Yoichi, Hokkaido. According to the post, the shop owner personally went to the site and was involved in the grape harvest and pressing. Double fermentation with wild yeast from the grapes and beer yeast, along with vanilla notes from oak chips, creates a "wine-like and dry" design that makes the most of Niagara’s aroma.

Mexico Salamander: A Salmon-Pink Sour That Feels Like Spring

"Mexico Salamander" has an ABV of 5.0% and an IBU of 4. This salmon-pink Citrus Mix Milk Shake Sour uses "Rinoka" citrus grown by Itotama in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, and "Shonan Gold" from Aki Sawaen in Odawara. Its sweet-and-tart flavor and cute appearance are the main selling points, and the post presents it as "a glass that evokes spring."

As expected from WHITE DOG BREWING Uraga Brewery, based in Uraga, Kanagawa, this release puts regional character and ingredient individuality front and center. These two beers, made from grape byproducts from Hokkaido and citrus from Shizuoka and western Kanagawa, should make for an enjoyable side-by-side tasting.
