Teenage Brewing, based in Tokigawa, Saitama, is releasing Experimental #005 Green Curry, the fifth entry in its Experimental series. The beer is a Sour IPA with Green Curry and comes in at 7.0% ABV. It is built around the brewery's mixology concept, which combines the ideas behind "Mix" and "Ology" to create carefully balanced combinations of aroma and flavor.
The beer is centered on the soft, sweet aroma of coconut puree, then layered with the bright citrus notes of kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass. Coriander-like herbal tones from cilantro and basil add complexity, while galangal and a mild chili character bring in spice. The result is held together by the beer's clean acidity. The hop bill includes Sabro, Comet CGX, Citra, and Motueka.
Teenage Brewing operates from Tokigawa Town and has built a reputation for experimental recipes that focus on structure as much as novelty. Rather than simply adding unusual ingredients, the brewery says it studies aroma and builds combinations that work as a whole. That approach is clear here: the green curry reference is not treated as a gimmick, but as a framework for a beer that still aims to drink smoothly.
The release is being rolled out in stages:

By turning green curry into a beer with citrus, herbs, coconut, and spice in clear balance, Teenage Brewing has added another distinctive entry to its experimental lineup.
