Gotojozo in Kyodo, Setagaya, is serving a 10th-anniversary seasonal beer called "10th Anniversary HAZY IPA." According to the brewery’s official website, the business opened as a beer bar in July 2016 and obtained a brewing license in July 2017. It has since operated as one of Setagaya’s early brewpub-style breweries, with its signature beer, Kyodo Ale, at the center of the lineup.

July is being treated as an anniversary month, and the brewery has been posting updates on Instagram throughout the celebration. In a post on July 27, Gotojozo said the campaign had entered its final week and noted that there was still plenty of anniversary beer left. The post also announced that the couple behind the brewery would be working in the dining area on Friday, July 31, from 16:00 to 17:00.

What stands out here is the brewery’s emphasis on the everyday experience of drinking fresh beer at the source. The taproom sits about three minutes from Kyodo Station on the Odakyu Line, and the brewery regularly rotates seasonal beers alongside its core offering. The anniversary Hazy IPA fits that approach: a limited beer designed to be enjoyed in the same room where the brewery’s story has been unfolding for a decade.

Rather than staging a large-scale campaign, Gotojozo is using the month to mark a milestone with regular customers and local beer drinkers. For a neighborhood brewery, that feels appropriate. The final week of July in Kyodo is shaping up to be a quiet but meaningful finish to a 10-year run.
