Craft beer and meat from Setagaya

Gotojozo has announced its participation in SETAGAYA LIFE SELECTION – Craft Beer & Meat Chapter, taking place on November 14 and 15, 2026, at Baji Koen Keyaki Plaza. The event is scheduled to run from 11:00 to 20:00 on both days.

Organized around the local appeal of Setagaya, the event brings together food businesses and producers connected to the area. This edition focuses on craft beer and meat, giving visitors the opportunity to pair dishes from Setagaya restaurants with beers from a local brewery.

Fresh beer from Kyodo

Gotojozo operates a brewery and standing beer bar in Kyodo, Setagaya. Founded by a couple who graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture, the brewery emphasizes carefully selected ingredients and freshly made beer. Its beer bar is located about three minutes on foot from Kyodo Station.

The brewery’s signature Kyodo Ale is an American pale ale designed to work equally well as a toast or alongside a meal. Gotojozo also develops seasonal beers, including Purpur IPA, made with purple carrots grown by Shokokaen, a farm run by one of the brewers’ university classmates.

The combination of local meat dishes and Gotojozo’s beers should offer a useful way to explore how malt character, hop aroma and seasonal ingredients interact with food. The beer selection and event details may change, so visitors should check Gotojozo’s and Setagaya Life’s official social media channels before attending.

The venue is Baji Koen Keyaki Plaza, 2-3-4 Kamiyoga, Setagaya, Tokyo. For beer fans, the event will be a chance to enjoy Gotojozo’s neighborhood-focused brewing alongside the broader food culture of Setagaya.
