A layered expression of hop character

Teenage Brewing has announced “Prism,” a new DDH DIPA, or double dry-hopped double IPA. The beer has an ABV of 8.5% and is built around multiple layers of expressive hop character. Its name suggests the brewery’s aim to split one concentrated impression into a broad spectrum of aromas and flavors.

The aroma is described as bright and vivid, recalling ripe tropical fruit, white grape, peach, lime, and citrus. On the palate, fresh fruit character expands alongside the hop aromas, creating a colorful profile reminiscent of concentrated tropical fruit. The beer’s structure centers on the assertive hop presence expected from a DDH DIPA, while the layered aromatics give it a wide range of impressions.

Bringing a musical sensibility to beer

Teenage Brewing was founded in Tokigawa, Hiki District, Saitama, by Daichi Mori, a musician who turned to brewing. The brewery draws a parallel between music and beer: both can create unexpected combinations, evoke different feelings depending on the moment, and leave a lasting impression.

Its brewery and taproom are located in a lush area surrounded by mountains and the clear waters of the Toki River. Teenage Brewing focuses on distinctive styles including IPA, Hazy IPA, Sour IPA, gose, and wood-aged beers, while also producing more classic styles such as pilsner and pale ale.

With its vivid hop aroma, layered flavor profile, and 8.5% ABV, “Prism” represents the brewery’s pursuit of modern, expressive craft beer. Further details on availability and serving locations are expected through the brewery’s official channels.
