Osaka Shibutani Beer from Fujiidera, Osaka, will make its debut at Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. as part of the 46th “Gourmet Selection” fair. The event runs from September 2 to September 8, with the venue set at the 7th-floor event hall and Grand Hall. The lineup includes the brewery’s new Honey Kumquat Ale (330 ml, 792 yen, limited to 250 bottles), plus Pale Ale and Weizen.

The brewery operates a direct sales shop and brewhouse in Fujiidera City. On its official site, Osaka Shibutani Beer says it carries forward the legacy of Shibutani Shosaburo, who is associated with what is said to be Japan’s first beer brewed by a Japanese. Its core lineup, including the “Kawachino Ale” series, is built around local ingredients and regional character.

This fair offers a chance to try a fruit-and-honey seasonal beer alongside the brewery’s standard offerings. For beer fans, it is a straightforward tasting opportunity: start with the new release, then compare it with the pale ale and weizen to get a sense of the brewery’s range.
