MIHAMA BASE in Inagekaigan taps Oni Densetsu Pale Ale and Union Jack
On a cloudy early-summer Thursday in Inagekaigan, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE added two new beers on tap: Oni Densetsu Kin-oni Pale Ale Luminosa Single Ver. and Firestone Walker Union Jack. The lineup blends Japanese craft, imports, and everyday favorites.
On a damp, cloud-covered Thursday in Inagekaigan, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE added two fresh taps to its lineup. The shop is a craft-beer-focused bar in the Mihama area, and it also holds a retail license for takeout sales of bottled and canned beer.
The first highlight is Oni Densetsu Kin-oni Pale Ale Luminosa Single Ver. from Hokkaido’s Oni Densetsu. It comes in at 5.5% ABV and 40 IBU, with a profile centered on lemony notes, tropical fruit, and a clean, moderate bitterness. According to the original post, it is especially fitting as a first pint, and it should work well on warmer days as well.
The second new tap is Firestone Walker Union Jack, a West Coast IPA at 7.0% ABV and 60 IBU. The beer is described as hop-forward yet balanced, with grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, apricot, and citrus layered over pale malt sweetness. A gentle acidic finish and crisp carbonation keep it dry, bright, and easy to keep drinking.
Beyond the two featured taps, the day’s lineup also included Guinness, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, NEKOBEER Gigimosa, West Coast Brewing Analog Glow, Smog City Back to Sea, and Pure Project Diamond Dust. That mix of stout, pilsner, white ale, pale ale, hazy IPA, and West Coast IPA gives the bar a broad range of styles in one stop.
MIHAMA BASE stays open until 1:00 a.m. and accepts reservations, making it a practical stop for a post-work pint or a longer tasting session. With these two new additions, the tap list in Inagekaigan looks even more worth checking out.
