An Evening Event to Enjoy Craft Beer and Yakitori in Front of Fukui Station

Fukui City craft beer brand, Awa Brewing, will hold the event “Awablu Beer Terrace” in collaboration with Akiyoshi in the Fukui Station area. The venue is the south side of Fukumachi Terrace in front of MINIE. The event will run on Saturday, June 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it easy to stop by after work or on a weekend evening.

This time’s theme is “Craft Beer x Akiyoshi.” The combination of Akiyoshi, beloved as a classic yakitori shop, and Awa Brewing, a brewery born in Fukui, is drawing attention as an event that brings local food and beer to the same table. In addition to Akiyoshi and Awa Brewing, there is also a possibility that tenants inside MINIE will participate.

Awa Brewing is a brewery that operates a brewery and taproom inside MINIE, a commercial facility in front of JR Fukui Station. Its official website introduces the brand as being launched by two people who were born and raised in Fukui, were drawn to the appeal of beer, and returned home to start brewing. With 1,000L brewing equipment, being able to enjoy freshly made beer right in front of the station is a major feature.

This beer terrace can also be seen as an effort to expand that kind of “place to enjoy beer in front of the station” with the openness of the outdoors. With Akiyoshi’s skewers and Awa Brewing’s craft beer, it is an event suited to beer fans in the area and anyone looking for a casual way to spend time in front of Fukui Station in early summer. For details, it would be a good idea to check MINIE’s announcements and Awa Brewing’s updates.
