One-day event with eight taps
PAINT PALETTE BREWING will hold a Mikkeller Tap Takeover and Mikkeller Running Club on Saturday, July 4, starting at 3:00 p.m. at awa awa KOBE, the facility attached to the brewery in Chuo Ward, Kobe. The event will feature eight taps in total, split between four Mikkeller beers and four beers from PAINT PALETTE BREWING.
The Mikkeller lineup includes Mysterious Path (Hoppy Pilsner), Forest Friends (West Coast IPA), Windy Hill (Hazy IPA), and Pernicious Weed (Monster Hop IIPA). PAINT PALETTE BREWING will pour WHISPERING STREAM (Pale Ale), GOLDEN MARGINS (Lager), WIND FROM FARM (Farmhouse Ale), and TIMELESS SYMPHONY (Farmhouse Ale with sake lees and lemongrass). It is a compact lineup, but one that brings together different styles and brewing backgrounds.
Mikkeller Running Club is free to join and does not require a reservation. Participants gather in front of the main entrance of awa awa KOBE and split into 5 km and 8 km groups. After the run, the plan is to enjoy the spa and sauna at awa awa KOBE, then have a beer together. A special package for participants is also listed at 800 yen for spa and beer, compared with the regular 1,200 yen rate.
PAINT PALETTE BREWING was founded in Kobe in the summer of 2025. The brewery draws on brewing experience from the U.S. and Japan, while also using local Kobe ingredients in its beers.
