Three New Kegs Opened at Mihama Base in Inage Kaigan

On March 26, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE (Mihama Base) tapped three new kegs. True to its reputation as a craft beer specialty shop in Inage Kaigan, the lineup spans popular breweries from Japan and abroad, instantly brightening up the taps inside.

The highlight this time is first and foremost West Coast Brewing Full Hop Alchemist r7. This is the seventh release in WCB's popular FHA series, and attention is also on Tangier hops, used here for the first time. It is a beer with a rich aroma typical of a Hazy Double IPA, layered with ripe orange, pineapple, mango, and papaya, striking a balance between sweetness and citrus bitterness.

Next is Ise Kadoya Beer Brain-Melting Ultra Heaven. This is a 10% American-style Triple IPA, brewed dry to aim for a light-drinking finish despite its high alcohol content. With hop character that blends green and tropical notes and a firm bitterness on top, it is a beer built for a substantial drinking experience.

And the third keg is Deschutes Hop Krush Hazy IPA. A pub-exclusive draft beer has arrived, and its juicy flavor comes from Dolcita, Mosaic, and Krush hops. It's a great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the full-bodied character of a Hazy IPA.

The taps that day also include Guinness, KIRIN HEARTLAND, and Hoegaarden White, along with Karl Strauss Tower X, Paperback Tucked in by Strangers, and FARMENTRY No.3 YAYOI IPA #2. The appeal is that you can enjoy three beers with very different directions at the same time: WCB's hazy, Ise Kadoya's triple IPA, and Deschutes' limited draft.

Mihama Base holds a general liquor retail license, so bottle and can takeout is available. Hours are 17:00 to 25:00, closed on Tuesdays, and it will be closed on Friday, March 27, making this day the best time to visit.
