OIRASE Brewery to Join the Aomori Port Kurashi Marche

A beer shaped by Towada’s natural water
OIRASE Brewery, based in Towada, Aomori, is set to participate in the Aomori Port Kurashi Marche.
The brewery has been making beer since 1997, surrounded by the landscapes of the Hakkoda Mountains, Lake Towada, and the Oirase Stream. Its beers are brewed with spring water from Hakkoda, described by the brewery as Oirase’s source water. This local water is at the heart of OIRASE Beer, a brand that has been enjoyed for more than a quarter century.
Its portfolio includes a crisp Pilsner, a smooth Dark Lager, a rich Amber Lager, and a fruity Weizen. The brewery also offers “Seiten no Hekireki,” which highlights the flavor of Aomori-grown rice, as well as “AWAhour,” an aroma ale with a refreshing apple character. For hop-forward beer fans, its IPA delivers a juicy profile made with a generous amount of hops.
At the market, guests can enjoy beers usually associated with OIRASE’s brewery and restaurant in Towada in a casual event setting. The lineup offers plenty of room for comparison: a Pilsner for a clean and refreshing pour, an Amber Lager for a fuller malt character, or a Weizen and IPA for more pronounced aromas.
OIRASE Brewery also operates a restaurant serving local ingredients alongside freshly made OIRASE Beer. Its appearance at the Aomori Port market will provide an accessible introduction to the brewery’s approach—bringing the water, landscape, and flavors of Towada to a wider audience.
