Fukuoka Craft Brewing wins first awards for two beers at JGBA 2026
In an Instagram post published on March 13, 2026, Fukuoka Craft Brewing announced that its beers had won at the "JAPAN GREAT BEER AWARDS 2026." The beers were the core lineup "Pale Ale" and the limited-brew "Spring Breeze," both introduced as first-time winners.
Fukuoka Craft Brewing, based in Okagaki Town, Fukuoka, reported its results in a competition.
The two beers announced as winners
According to the post, the award-winning beers were the following two labels.
- Pale Ale (available since 2018, first award)
- Spring Breeze (third batch, first award)
Pale Ale is described as an American-style beer characterized by the aroma of citrusy hops, a pleasant bitterness, and an easy-to-drink 5% ABV. Spring Breeze is a seasonal product that features a label inspired by the cherry blossom scenery of local Okagaki Town, and is designed to highlight bright, springlike fruity aromas.
Sales status
The same post said that Pale Ale is continually brewed and therefore relatively easy to buy, while Spring Breeze has sold out at the brewery and is expected to go off sale once inventory at events and retail partners runs out.
About the brewery
On its official website, the brewery says it is based in Okagaki Town, Onga District, Fukuoka Prefecture, and carries the message "From Fukuoka, craft beer to culture." It also features beer making influenced by American styles and hands-on local experiences such as brewery tours. This award can be seen as news that shows how the brewery has continued building quality through both its core lineup and seasonal limited releases.
