Osaka Shibutani Beer is once again highlighting its local beer tied to the Tenma area, "Tenma Tenjin Ale." On its official social media, it announced that the beer is "back" and is currently on sale in limited quantities at its brewery and direct sales shop.

This beer, which first went on sale in 2023, is introduced as a dark ale that uses sacred water from Osaka Tenmangu Shrine as its brewing water and brings out the umami of Osaka kombu. Its label, created by Osaka's leading picture-book artist Yoshihisa Hasegawa, is notable for its striking "obachan label."

Osaka Shibutani Beer is a brewery based in Fujiidera City. On its official website, it describes its roots as inheriting the history of some of the earliest brewed beer made by Japanese brewers. In addition to its standard "Kawachino Ale" series, it also produces limited-edition beers that emphasize local character, and "Tenma Tenjin Ale" can be regarded as one of its representative offerings.

On the sales side, the company's "places to drink and buy" page also lists Tenma Tenjin MAIDO-ya, showing the product's connection to the Tenma and Tenjinbashisuji area. It is likely to draw renewed attention as a beer that can be enjoyed not only as an Osaka souvenir, but also alongside local meals.
