Big Hand Bros Brewery Reveals Limited-Edition Anniversary Session IPA "Diamond" for Its 3rd Anniversary
Big Hand Bros Brewery in Kyoto introduced its special anniversary brew "Diamond" on Instagram. It pairs the brisk drinkability of a Session IPA with tropical aromas from English hops, and an anniversary event will also be held at the Teramachi taproom.
Anniversary Brew for the 3rd Year
Big Hand Bros Brewery, which continues to make small-batch beer in a basement in Nishijin, Kyoto, announced its special 3rd anniversary brew on Instagram. The brewery's official website describes an approach centered on classic British styles, with each beer crafted carefully in small batches at a relaxed pace, and this anniversary beer can be seen as an extension of that philosophy.
The commemorative beer is "Diamond." Its style is Session IPA, with an alcohol content of 4.5% and an IBU of 25. The Instagram post says the beer uses modern hops from the UK again this year, bringing tropical aromas reminiscent of passion fruit and mango, followed by a soft malt character after the refreshing finish. Designed with a balance of lightness and aroma in mind, it is an easy-drinking beer suited to the period from spring into early summer.
Anniversary Event at the Teramachi Shop
In addition, the Teramachi taproom will host an anniversary event from April 13 to 19. Visitors during the period will receive 3rd anniversary cookies. At the adjoining bak kut teh specialty shop, the "Infinite Bak Kut Teh" event will run from April 17 to 19, and the coffee shop will also debut a limited "Teramachi 3rd Anniversary Blend."
Big Hand Bros Brewery is based in Kyoto City and has made beers centered on British ales while also incorporating modern American styles and lagers. "Diamond," released for its 3rd anniversary milestone, is a commemorative brew that stands out for balancing bright aromatics with an easy-drinking body.
