Three days tied to Tachikawa's summer season
Sakamichi Brewing will hold its "Sakamichi Summer Festival" from August 21 to 23. On August 22 and 23, it will sell 500-yen beers in front of the South Exit taproom. At Sakamichi North, the brewery's second location in Tachikawa, food pop-ups and a DJ set are also planned.
The lineup includes Pizza V on August 21, Hide Niro's yakisoba on August 22 during the day, DJ Hama that evening, and Taquito on August 23. Rather than centering the event on beer alone, the brewery is pairing the taps with food and music across the weekend.
Sakamichi Brewing is based in Shibasaki-cho, Tachikawa, and was founded in October 2019. On its official site, the brewery says it aims to create a modern, welcoming space while offering a wide range of beer styles, from lagers and ales to newer interpretations. It also highlights the use of local organic ingredients whenever possible.
For visitors coming to Tachikawa during the Suwa Shrine festival season, the event looks easy to fit into a day out. It is a straightforward chance to enjoy beer made in Tachikawa in the middle of the city's summer celebrations.
