Sakamichi Brewing in Tachikawa, Tokyo, highlighted three new beers from Open Air Brewing on Instagram. On its own website, the brewery describes its approach as covering everything from familiar classics to modern styles, and this release reflects that range clearly.

The three beers

- The Believer / NZ Pilsner / 5.5%
Brewed with plenty of New Zealand hops, it shows citrus, lime, and white grape aromas. The finish is dry and easy to keep drinking.
- Kabosudachi / Kabosu Sudachi Gose / 5.0%
A gose made with Oita kabosu juice and Tokushima sudachi juice. Bright lactic tartness meets green citrus character and salt, with a touch of lactose adding subtle sweetness this year.
- Berry Belly / Blueberry Sour / 6.0%
A fruit sour packed with blueberry puree and softened by vanilla bean and tonka bean aromatics. It reads as sweet-tart and dessert-like.

Although the styles differ, all three look well suited to hot weather. For a brewery like Sakamichi, which serves a wide spectrum of contemporary beer in Tachikawa, that kind of contrast makes for an appealing guest-beer lineup.
