The Mizonokuchi Brewery, based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, announced in an Instagram "NOW ON TAP" post that it had started selling 15L kegs of Blueberry Sour "Flatwoods", which had previously been served at its taproom, on its business-use e-commerce site. Purchases for restaurants and bars are accepted via the profile link, and the beer is currently also available at the brewery’s taproom.

"Flatwoods" is specified as Style: Blueberry Sour / ABV: 5.8% / HOP: Audacia. The adjuncts used are blueberry puree, rosemary, and thyme. According to the brewery’s description, the blueberry’s sweet-and-tart character is layered with the fresh aroma of rosemary and thyme, resulting in a beer with a moderate acidity and a drinkability that is not too heavy. It is presented as a beer where the juiciness of the fruit and the herbal nuances lead to an elegant finish.

Mizonokuchi Brewery is a microbrewery in Mizonokuchi. Its taproom, attached to the brewery, is equipped with up to 13 taps and offers not only the brewery’s own beers but also guest beers and food. This 15L keg rollout seems likely to be seen as a move that extends availability beyond in-house service to restaurants and bars as well.
