A collaboration rooted in independent music

Nobody Brewing by Teenage, a brand from Teenage Brewing, has announced Rough Trade IPA, an official collaboration with Rough Trade Records. The beer commemorates the label’s 50th anniversary and the Japan event “caroline x My New band Believe.”

Rough Trade began as a record shop in London in 1976 and established its record label in 1978. Over the years, it has released influential artists including Young Marble Giants, The Pop Group, The Smiths, The Libertines, Belle and Sebastian, and Pulp. Teenage Brewing and Nobody Brewing say the label has been a major influence on their own work.

A bright and sessionable IPA

Rough Trade IPA is a 4.5% Session IPA brewed with Erebus, Pacific Sunrise, Cascade NUVO, and Centennial hops. It combines a light body with a dry finish, refreshing hop aromatics, and a pleasant bitterness.

Grapefruit and lemon lead the aroma, followed by subtle melon and blueberry-like notes. The beer is intended to suit relaxed listening sessions, pairing especially well with the Rough Trade Records artist playlist.

Keg and can sales will begin ahead of the wider release at TOWER RECORDS BEER Shibuya on September 25, 2026. Wholesale sales are scheduled to begin in mid-September, shipments to retailers will start in late September, and general sales through Teenage Brewing’s online store are planned for early October. The release reflects Teenage Brewing’s distinctive connection between craft beer and music.
