umbrella RiB (Umbrella Rib) in Higashi-Umeda, Osaka, opened at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 8. In a post, it introduced 12 taps in total, domestic and international, as “today’s craft beers.”
The shop is a street-level beer pub on the first floor of the Juraku Building in Togano-cho, Kita Ward, Osaka City. With a glass-fronted entrance and slightly dim lighting, it creates a calm atmosphere, and it is equipped with both counter and table seating. The layout makes it easy to use whether you are drinking alone or meeting up with a few friends.
The draft beers that day ranged widely, from light session styles to hop-forward Hazy Double IPAs and Japanese-style arrangements using local ingredients. From Osaka’s Minoh Beer came “Session Black IPA” and “Yuzu Tripel,” giving a sense of local character. The lineup also included Southern Shinshu Beer’s “Spring Session,” RaR and Bullhoss’s collaboration “Personal Plug,” Uitrielle’s “Akkeshi Rouge,” Hino Brewing’s “Americano,” Trap Door’s “Eden,” Daisen G Beer’s “Mugihana Yasugo,” Shiga Kogen Beer’s “Snow Monkey IPA Silver Label 2026,” Kuni no Nagare Beer’s “Surutto Bitter,” Oni Densetsu’s “Kinoni Pale Ale Comet Single Ver.,” and Nara Brewing and VERTERE’s “Tiffina,” offering plenty of appeal for tasting side by side.
The post also noted that the shop stocks more than 60 kinds of craft beer in bottles and cans, and that limited-quantity burgers are sold mainly on weekends. A 15th anniversary event is also scheduled for May 9 and 10 at a separate venue, making this a place worth checking out for anyone tracking craft beer around Umeda.
