Yumeyomi, a beer pub in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward near the Minamiza theater, is now pouring Thada Ratu from Hida Takayama Beer.

Thada Ratu is a seasonal beer produced by the brewery in Takayama, Gifu. According to the brewery’s product information, it has an alcohol content of 6%. The beer is built around a firm malt bitterness, followed by fruity flavors and a substantial body. Its name refers to a copper-red color, making the beer visually distinctive as well as full of malt character.

Hida Takayama Beer uses naturally sourced water drawn from approximately 180 meters underground and brews 100% malt beer. Thada Ratu’s deep appearance suggests a rich beer, while its seasonal character and fruity notes make it suitable for slow, attentive drinking.

Yumeyomi is located on the second floor of Shimaya Building on Shijo-dori in Gion. The intimate beer pub offers a relaxed setting for exploring distinctive beers from Japan and abroad. Thada Ratu is worth tasting slowly: begin with its malt-forward bitterness, then follow how its fruity character develops as the beer warms slightly.

Availability may change, so guests should check the pub’s official channels before visiting. Details are available in the original Instagram post and on the pub’s official Facebook page.
