April 7 Lineup

At the small beer pub "Jibeer Bar Marumugi" in Arakicho, Shinjuku, the day's rotating tap menu has been updated. Glass sizes are large 1,200 yen +α / small 900 yen +α. With a price range that makes it easy to enjoy a standard tasting flight, five distinct beers are lined up.

Five Featured Taps

- HEARTS UP! IPA / Repubrew (Shizuoka, 5.0%, +100 yen)
This beer is presented as a soft, spring-colored Hazy-style pour. It should let you enjoy IPA-like hop character with a mouthfeel that is not too heavy.
- Fresh-Pressed Beyond the Pacific / Ise Kadoya Beer (Mie, 5.5%, +100 yen)
A beer said to use NZ hops, with an aroma profile that invites attention. It is introduced as a fresh, lively beer, like tasting lupulin in liquid form.
- Pale Ale / Mojiko Retro Beer (Fukuoka, 5.5%)
A classic ale that puts richness and toastiness front and center. Rather than flashy hop character, it is the kind of beer whose umami builds the more you drink.
- STRUGGLE IPA "Tenchu" / Ise Kadoya Beer (7.0%, +100 yen)
A revival IPA made with 10 different hops. According to the official description, its hallmarks are a balance of bright citrus and passion fruit aroma, malty richness, and a robust bitterness.
- Biscuit Hop / Minami Shinshu Beer (Nagano, 7.0%)
A beer that combines toastiness with drinkability. It has a solid body, while its name suggests gentle biscuit-like nuances.

Marumugi is a small beer pub on the second floor of the Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Shinjuku Ward, and has been open since 2011. It is a place suited both to stopping in for one drink after work and to comparing several styles side by side. Note that as of December 5, 2024, Tuesdays and public holidays are regular closing days. It was a lineup for days when you want to choose according to your mood, from spring-like Hazy IPAs to toasty ales.
