For hop fans, Ushitora Brewery’s Once-Acclaimed Hopster IPA☆ from Tochigi comes in at 6.5%. Its concept pairs a nostalgic character with a fresh, contemporary drinking experience.

Niigata’s Swan Lake Beer contributes Swan Lake Porter, a 6.0% dark beer known for its roasty yet mild profile. It offers a smooth, malt-focused option for drinkers looking for something relaxed and deeply flavored.

Ise Kadoya Beer’s Imperial Red Ale from Mie is the strongest beer on the list at 7.0%. Its assertive hop presence and substantial body make it a choice for those seeking a more intense pour.

Rounding out the lineup is Baird Brewing’s Rising Sun Pale Ale from Shizuoka, at 5.5%. Its citrus-forward hop aroma and bitterness make it a classic, refreshing option from the brewery.

Located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building at 1 Arakicho, Shinjuku, Marumugi is a neighborhood beer pub built around rotating craft selections. With fruit, hops, roast, and malt all represented, this lineup should make for an engaging tasting session. The bar is closed on Tuesdays and public holidays.
