October 17 Tap List
Jibeer Bar Maru Mugi’s October 17 selection features five beers from breweries in different parts of Japan. The large pour is priced at ¥1,300, while the small pour is ¥1,000.
The lineup begins with “Akita Apple and Japanese Pear Cider” from HOPDOG BREWING in Akita. At 6.5% ABV, it highlights the rich aroma of apples together with the refreshing character of Japanese pear.
Ushitora Brewery’s “Yonen no Hop Star IPA☆” is also 6.5% ABV. Maru Mugi describes it as a nostalgic yet fresh take on its classic Hop Star character, making it an appealing choice for drinkers who enjoy a hop-forward IPA with a familiar profile.
For darker beer fans, Swan Lake Beer’s “Swan Lake Porter” from Niigata comes in at 6.0% ABV. It is presented as a fragrant, mild dark beer. Ise Kadoya Beer’s “Imperial Red Ale” follows at 7.0% ABV, offering a more substantial experience centered on hop intensity.
Baird Brewing’s “Rising Sun Pale Ale” from Shizuoka is 5.5% ABV. Its defining features are the aroma and bitterness of citrus-forward hops, and it is listed as one of the brewery’s standard beers.
Located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Shinjuku, Maru Mugi is a beer pub where guests can enjoy Japanese craft beer in a relaxed setting. This tap list makes it possible to compare fruit-driven flavors, roasted malt, and hop bitterness in one visit. Prices were revised from October 1 due to rising carbon dioxide costs, and the bar is closed on Tuesdays and public holidays.
