5th Anniversary Lineup

BEER BAR "Awatachi" in central Fukui has announced the lineup for its 5th-anniversary event. The bar will fill its taps with beers from Yellow Monkey Brewing of Yokohama, the brewery that produced Awatachi's original anniversary beer, turning the weekend into a tap takeover.

Yellow Monkey Brewing is known for hybrid brewing that also uses sake yeast and for beers that lean into Japanese ingredients and ideas. According to the post, the brewery's Founder & CEO, Komada, will visit the bar, and a morning run event, "RUN FOR BEER," is planned for August 1.

Beers on tap

Alongside the anniversary original, seven additional beers are listed:
- KAIZOKU (Japanese Umami Lager): umami-driven lager with rice koji, rice bran, katsuobushi, shiitake, and kombu
- GOHOBI IPA (NZ IPA): an IPA framed as a reward for your run
- ICHIGOYA (Fruit Wheat): fruit wheat with strawberry aroma
- TSUZUKI (White Koji Sour IPA): sour IPA built around white-koji citric acidity
- HOMARE (Japanese Rice Lager): lager using amazake made from rice, rice koji, and rice bran
- ChaChaCha (Japanese Green Tea Beer): a green tea beer
- Barrel Aged (Imperial IPA): barrel-aged imperial IPA
