BEER BAR Awatachi, located in Fukui's Shin-ei shopping street near the station, is a standing-style craft beer bar with a vivid blue exterior. It is known for a weekly changing lineup of craft beers from breweries across Japan and for the easygoing atmosphere around the counter.

The 5th anniversary event runs for three days, from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2. During the event, Awatachi will feature a Yellow Monkey Brewing tap takeover, and the bar will also release its anniversary beer, Gokigen. It should be a good chance to enjoy a lineup that feels a little different from the regular rotation.

Food is part of the draw as well. The special "Awatachi SP otsumami" project brings in chef Kentaro Takeuchi, who has worked at French restaurants in Osaka and Tokyo and also at ULO and acoya in Fukui. With a family background in vegetable farming, he is preparing snacks that highlight the character of vegetables. Quantities are limited, so early visits make sense.

Other planned items include a morning "RUN FOR BEER" with brewer Mr. Komada on August 1, a private reservation of the Shin-ei Terrace behind the bar, original T-shirts and tote bags, and anniversary sticker giveaways. It looks like a three-day event built around beer, food, and a handful of special extras.
