Beer Bar Awatachi in Fukui to Host “Hayashi Chinese” from September 18–23
BEER BAR Awatachi in Fukui will host “Hayashi Chinese,” a six-day food event pairing Chinese dishes with craft beer. Small dishes will be served first, followed by dumplings and mapo tofu, alongside specially selected beers including a crisp lager and a cat-themed can from Ise Kadoya Beer.
BEER BAR Awatachi, a craft beer pub in central Fukui, will hold its “Hayashi Chinese” event from September 18 through 23. The event features Chinese dishes prepared by the owner with beer pairings in mind.
On September 18 and 19, the pub will serve small dishes such as menma, zha cai, Chinese jellyfish, and Chinese-style bean sprouts. From September 20 through 23, dumplings and mapo tofu will take center stage, while the small dishes will remain available as well.
The beer selection will be matched to the Chinese menu. Awatachi says a crisp lager described as “Super Dry” will also be available, despite not usually being part of the pub’s lineup. Its clean, refreshing profile should make it a natural companion to dumplings and the bold flavors of mapo tofu.
Starting September 20, the pub will also sell a cat-themed canned beer from Ise Kadoya Beer in Mie Prefecture. The original post does not specify the beer’s product name, but the can design is expected to appeal to cat lovers as well as craft beer fans.
Opening hours are 6:00–10:00 p.m. on September 18, 3:00–10:00 p.m. from September 19 through 22, and 3:00–6:00 p.m. on September 23. Awatachi is located on the first floor of AlohaZ・Hope at 1-15-14 Chuo, Fukui City.
