Kyoto-based Big Hand Bros Brewery will hold the "TERAMACHI EVENT" at Teramachi Taproom on Friday, May 29. This month’s Fresh Beer is the Pale Ale Kurgantaite, and a new coaster will also make its in-store debut.
Big Hand Bros Brewery, which develops its craft beer brand from Kyoto's Nishijin area, will hold an event at Teramachi Taproom. In an Instagram post, the brewery announced that it will host "TERAMACHI EVENT" on Friday, May 29.
The venue, Teramachi Taproom, is a multi-concept shop where visitors can enjoy craft beer as well as Singaporean bak kut teh and coffee. On a corner of Teramachi Street, the shop is distinctive for letting guests enjoy not only beer but also food and cafe offerings together.
The main feature of the day is Kurgantaite, introduced as this month’s Fresh Beer. It is a Pale Ale with 4% ABV and 39 IBU. The post describes it as having a malt aroma reminiscent of biscuits and caramel, layered with fresh herbal notes and an earthy hop aroma, and says that when sipped it leaves a rustic barley flavor and a crisp, lingering bitterness.
In addition, a new coaster will make its first in-store appearance starting Friday. It is being promoted as an item that can be used at home or in the office, making it something to look forward to as a commemorative item from the event. Campaigns will also be held at the adjoining DRIP & DROP COFFEE SUPPLY and BOO BOO BAKKUTTEH, making this a plan to enjoy beer and the surrounding shops together in one corner of Teramachi.
