Based in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture, Uchu Brewing is showing new movement at its permanent taproom in Toranomon Hills. In an official Instagram post, the brewery announced that cans of its QDH TIPA "Obsidian Tower," a rich beer packed with a huge amount of hops, had arrived. It also reported that the Toranomon Hills opening commemorative beer has been well received.
The post also mentioned that one more table had been added to the terrace seating, making it easier for more visitors to use the space. While the table will be removed in strong winds, the setup reflects a flexible approach suited to a downtown taproom and how it can adapt to the weather. Business hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last order at 8:30 p.m. It is cashless only, does not serve food, and allows guests to bring in food purchased inside Toranomon Hills.
The tap list that day included "OTAKU SMOOTHIE SOUR ALE," "Galactic Path INDIA PALE ALE," "Uchu Relax DDH HAZY PALE ALE," "COSMIC WHALE DDH IPA," "UCHU TORANOMON QDH QUADRUPLE IPA," and "Nothingness DDH DIPA." From smoothie sour to quadruple IPA, the lineup covered a wide range, showing the expressive breadth that is typical of Uchu Brewing.
Uchu Brewing is a brewery known for making beer with a space theme. From its brewery in Hokuto, Yamanashi, its distinctive beers can now be enjoyed on an ongoing basis at Toranomon Hills in Tokyo. The announcement of the canned release should also serve as a cue to check out the lineup on site.
