Ebiru Brew Studio Introduces New "TWO APPLES GRAFF" with Over 50% Juice
In a post published at 22:41 on February 20, Hyogo-based Ebiru Brew Studio gave a detailed introduction to its new release, "TWO APPLES GRAFF." Available since the end of January, the beer is a Graff style that blends cider and beer. Made with Kogyoku and Orin apples, its defining feature is a recipe with a juice ratio of over 50%.
The center of the new release information shared by Ebiru Brew Studio is "TWO APPLES GRAFF." The style is Graff, a hybrid that ferments apple juice and malt together, with specs of ABV 5% / IBU 12.
According to the post, the apples used were two varieties sourced from the Akita cidery OK,ADAM. By combining the tart Kogyoku with the mellow sweetness of Orin, the recipe was crafted so that juice accounts for more than 50% of the whole. El Dorado hops are used to layer a fruity profile over the apple-derived aroma.
As for the flavor description, it starts off bright and refreshing on the palate. As the temperature rises, the sweetness and character of the apples become more pronounced. It is positioned not only as a first drink for winter, but also as a beverage to enjoy with food, making it suitable for a wide range of drinking occasions.
The post also shared a story about drawing an apple illustration on the fermentation tank, making the impression that the brewery is communicating not just the recipe but also the playful spirit of the brewing site itself.
Based in Hyogo, Ebiru Brew Studio also hinted in the post at a "rush of new releases." This Graff can be seen as a beer that symbolizes that momentum, and it seems likely to appeal not only to craft beer fans but also to cider lovers.
