Osaka's umbrella RiB updates its 11-keg tap list, led by IPAs
The beer pub umbrella RiB in Umeda, Osaka, announced its business hours for Thursday, April 2 and today's tap list. From juicy IPA, WCIPA, saison, double IPA, pilsner, sour, and bitter, it has lined up 11 kegs spanning a wide range of styles.

Hop BroThe lineup really revolves around hop-forward beers. Between Nue Hop Juice IPA, Code Breaker, Hop Nomad, Racco IPA, and Uchu Deluxe Citra, it's basically a flood of aroma.
MugiWhat is Juicy IPA anyway? Does juicy mean it tastes like fruit juice? Beer and juice are not exactly lining up in my brain!
Hop BroBroadly speaking, it's an IPA that emphasizes haze and aroma. Instead of a huge hit of bitterness, it tends to bring out tropical and citrus aromas, and the mouthfeel is often softer too.
MugiOhhh! So even a refreshing style like white grape saison sounds like a good mood pick. Even the name feels stylish, like a breeze would blow through while you're drinking it!
Hop BroAnd the lager-like sense of stability is great too. If you reset your palate with Daylong or Weizen, then add some acidity with a sour like Passion Tan, each glass feels different.
MugiWait, there's even a passionfruit sour!? Just imagining it makes my face pucker up because I can't tell if it's going to be sweet or tart!
Hop BroEnding with a nice bitter is tasteful too. Since it's nitro, the foam is very fine, and the richness and smoothness linger gently.

Looking at the lineup, while hop-forward beers such as Juicy IPA, West Coast IPA, and TDH Double IPA are firmly represented, it also includes German Pilsner, Weizen, Passionfruit Sour Ale, and English Bitter Nitro, giving it a broad range of drinking experiences. IPA fans can of course enjoy it, but so can those who want to alternate with a crisp lager, a tart sour, or a slowly savored bitter.
The shop is on the first floor of the Juraku Building, 9-23 Toganocho, Kita Ward, Osaka City. Hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 3:00 p.m. to midnight. Food last order is 10:30 p.m. There are also limited-quantity burgers mainly on weekends, plus course plans for banquets, making it an easy-to-use beer pub for time spent with food as well as beer.
