Huîtrière in Akkeshi, Hokkaido, will release its new anniversary product, "AKKESHI PRISME," in stores on April 18 and online from 12:00 p.m. on April 19. Built around the idea of spring after rain and a rainbow, it has been finished as a light, clean session IPA.
The craft beer brand Huîtrière in Akkeshi, Hokkaido, has announced a new product, "AKKESHI PRISME." It will go on sale at the brewery shop from April 18, 2026, and at 12:00 p.m. on April 19, 2026, it will also be available in the huîtrière online store.
This beer is a commemorative release that overlaps a seasonal turning point with the brand's first anniversary. In the product description, it is expressed as "3:00 p.m., a glass where a rainbow opens in spring after the rain." Referring to the 15th of the seventy-two microseasons, "Rainbow First Seen," it is introduced as a beer inspired by the soft light and clear air of spring.
Its flavor direction layers aromas reminiscent of tropical fruit and strawberry with a subtle dank finish. The style is a session IPA, with an alcohol content of 4.5% and a volume of 350 ml. While keeping it light, the beer is designed to let the layers of aroma come through, and as its name suggests, it aims to be a beer in which aromas overlap as if dissolving into light.
Huîtrière is a brand that has expressed the sense of time and changing nature in Akkeshi through beer. Akkeshi Town in Hokkaido is a region surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and grasslands, with an environment where sea and fresh water meet. Against that backdrop, "AKKESHI PRISME," released at the brewery's first anniversary milestone, is a new beer worth watching not for flashiness but for the seasonal atmosphere and intent behind its design.
