At WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE, a craft beer specialty shop in Makuhari, Mihama Ward, Chiba City, two new taps have been added. This time, the beers are Firestone Walker's "Union Jack" and Ise Kadoya Beer’s "Hoppinyan 11th Fleet." Both are the kind of lineup that beer fans love, with hop character that comes through clearly.

"Union Jack" is presented as a classic example of a West Coast IPA. Citrus aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, apricot, and citrus are supported by the sweetness of pale malt, creating a well-balanced beer that combines bitterness and drinkability. At 7.0%, it has plenty of presence, yet finishes smoothly.

Meanwhile, "Hoppinyan 11th Fleet" is a DDH Hazy IPA. This release focuses on Australian hops, using Galaxy and Enigma in a recipe that layers in a bright, festive aroma of tropical fruit, passion fruit, white grape, berries, and even a light spice note. It is finished to emphasize the freshness and fruitiness typical of Southern Hemisphere hops.

Inside the shop, they say they are keeping things at a comfortable temperature so people can enjoy beer even on hot days. They also offer craft beer for takeout, which is another Mihama Base hallmark and makes it an easy place to stop by casually. Next week, on Friday 6/5 and Saturday 6/6, there will also be a manager birthday celebration, with a lottery entry for every pint or half-pint ordered, plus a can badge available as a bonus for visiting on both days. It is a perfect time to enjoy these two hop-forward kegs in Makuhari while also taking part in the shop's events.
