Two kegs tapped in Inage Kaigan

At WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE (Mihama Base), a craft beer specialist in Inage Kaigan, Mihama Ward, Chiba City, two new kegs were tapped on April 17, 2026. In addition to draft beer, the shop also offers bottles and cans for takeaway, making it an easy stop after work or before or after a meal.

The first keg of the day was Faction Hamaru IPA. This IPA was brewed with the hope that Japanese beer fans would "get hooked on Faction's beers," and it is a West Coast IPA using NZ 101, NZ 105, and Equinox. Bright citrus character, bold aroma, and a moderate bitterness define it, resulting in a beer that delivers substantial drinkability while maintaining a clean finish.

The second keg was Isekadoya Beer West Coast Pilsner. This is a special keg release of one of ISEKADO's regular canned beers, offering a crisp-drinking West Coast pilsner. Along with hop aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, pine, and spice, it also has a light sulfur note. The mouthfeel is crisp, the bitterness is firm, and the finish dries out cleanly, making it the kind of beer you can drink without fatigue.

MIHAMA BASE is known as a craft beer specialty shop where you can enjoy a wide range of beers in the Inage Kaigan area, and it stays open until 1:00 a.m. It is an easy place to drop by whether you just want one quick drink or want to take your time comparing hop character. Both kegs this time are beers with clearly defined hop profiles, so it should be fun to drink them side by side and compare the aromas.
