Tono Brewery will once again take part in the "Choi-nomi Tono Bar-Hopping" event held on May 27. This walk-around event brings together about 40 eateries near Tono Station, and one ticket lets you visit three venues. As a local craft beer hub, it will help energize Tono's nightlife.
Tono Brewery will participate in "Choi-nomi Tono Bar-Hopping," held on Wednesday, May 27 at eateries in downtown Tono. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with advance tickets priced at 4,000 yen and same-day tickets at 4,500 yen. One ticket allows participants to visit three venues, and about 40 shops are taking part.
The appeal of this event is that you can move from place to place a little at a time and enjoy the distinct character of Tono's restaurants all at once. Collecting three stamps also enters you into a lottery, combining the fun of walking around town with the fun of drinking your way through it. Tickets are limited to 500, and advance tickets will be sold at the Tono City Tourism Association, Topia, and participating shops.
Tono Brewery is a brewery located on Chuo-dori in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture. Its official website introduces the directly operated TAPROOM, a three-minute walk from Tono Station, where house-made craft beer is served on six taps at all times. With the water sources of the Tono Sanzan, including Mount Hayachine, and the long history of hop cultivation as a backdrop, the brewery champions beer-making that values ties with local ingredients and people.
By adding a locally rooted brewery to an event that tours neighborhood restaurants, the distance between Tono's food and its beer becomes even shorter. It looks set to be a night spent walking through downtown and savoring a drink and a dish at each stop.
