Sendai's Tachinomi Beron Holds the 24th "Hotline" Event, Limited-Edition Cans Also Sell Out
A report on the 24th installment of the collaboration event "Hotline" has been published from the beer pub "Tachinomi Beron" in Aoba Ward, Sendai City. The one-night event featuring the popular izakaya Chocho was packed with energy thanks to refined snacks and beer, and the limited-label canned beer reportedly sold out.
An Instagram post from Tachinomi Beron gives a detailed look at the 24th installment of the venue's own event, "Hotline." The setting was the standing beer pub Tachinomi Beron, located on the first floor of Kato Building, 1-3-9 Omachi, Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
This time behind the counter was Cho-san, the representative of the popular izakaya Chocho, also known as "Maki Ate Jiro." According to the post, a line had already formed before opening, and with snacks served alongside the aroma of roasted seaweed and plenty of beer, the shop was said to have become a "mad eight hours."
The beer highlight was the "Maki Ate Jiro aka. Chocho" limited-label canned beer. The contents were beer brewed by BrewBeast in Hanamaki, and the post described it as a familiar pour. It was also sold at the adjacent shop Kankan, where it reportedly sold out.
Beron's appeal lies in the standing-bar distance that lets guests and drinkers mingle. This record also shows that, with food collaborations and craft beer at its core, it continues building a place that connects not only Sendai and Miyagi, but the wider Tohoku region and the rest of Japan. Beer fans who want to relive the energy of the event day will want to keep an eye on future "Hotline" announcements as well.
